We welcome audition inquiries but we no longer hold standing auditions on Saturday mornings. To audition with us please send us a short eMail by clicking here. Please include your contact phone number and eMail address. You can also phone us on +64 9 261-0793 (press 4 - when you hear our automated phone system greeting) or if you are calling from within New Zealand you can phone us on our free phone number - 0800 SOIFUA. Mobile phones do not work with 0800 SOIFUA. During auditions we look for performing skills in dance, rhythm, and drama. We also audition musicians looking for time, or work, with Polynesian rhythm, drumming (log drums and bongos) and instrumentation (ukulele, acoustic guitar, keyboard). And we audition vocalists, singers and dramatists. Because of our purpose your age and your physical appearance are not important for auditions with SOIFUA. If you genuinely seek to practice, and perhaps, eventually, perform, for us we will find a way to help you. As long as you give us advance notice, we will allow you to bring any instrument, musical group, or recorded item for accompaniment to your audition. You can also bring friends and family to your audition but, because we are auditioning you - not your support group, we reserve the right to exclude anyone or everyone during the time of your audition. And we reserve the right to stop an audition at any time. Success in an audition is a guarantee of practice, not work. Work depends on bookings and forward orders. If you are a minor or less than 16-years old then you must be accompanied, to your audition, by an adult who must remain with you until you leave the audition. We do not audition unaccompanied minors or people under the age of 16.
